Hyderabad: Heavy rains in the city on Thursday led to massive traffic jams in several parts of Hyderabad as floodwater accumulated on key roads.
Despite rainfall easing later, traffic flow remained disrupted in multiple areas. Vehicles came to a standstill in the IT corridor, with heavy jams reported in Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, and Gachibowli.
At Khairatabad Metro Station, knee-deep water left commuters stranded, while traffic moved slowly in Khairatabad, Somajiguda, and Panjagutta. Long queues of vehicles stretched across Kondapur, Begumpet, and Secunderabad routes.
Authorities also halted traffic on the Amberpet–Musarambagh bridge due to the swelling Musi river, further intensifying congestion.
