Harish Rao slams Congress for false promises, defends KCR’s welfare schemes

Hyderabad: Former minister and MLA Harish Rao took a sharp dig at the Congress during a meeting with residents of KCR Nagar in Kollur, part of the Patancheru constituency. The event, titled Atmiya Sammelanam, drew a strong crowd. Rao said Congress minister Uttam Kumar Reddy had faced empty chairs the previous day, while “our meeting needed more chairs thrice.”

He said the double-bedroom colony was proudly named KCR Nagar. “People were amazed at the size of the houses built under KCR’s leadership,” he added.

Harish Rao accused Congress leaders of mocking Maganti Gopinath’s wife when she wept publicly. “If Congress leaders die, don’t their wives cry?” he asked. Rao said they insulted a grieving mother and still dared to ask for votes.

He warned voters not to fall for Congress’s promises. “They lure you with false offers,” he said. “Can we forget the man who fed us?” Rao reminded people that KCR had fulfilled dreams through housing and welfare schemes.

Rao said the Congress government failed to deliver the Mahalakshmi scheme, the ₹2,500 monthly aid, tola gold, and a scooter for women. “Without shame, Revanth Reddy claims he will do something new,” Rao said.

Targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he added, “If Revanth can’t see KCR’s development, he must be blind or mad. If mad, Jubilee Hills people should send him to Erragadda hospital.”

He urged voters to support KCR and “tell your families to vote for the car symbol.” Rao mocked Congress for offering ₹3,000 per vote. “Take the money, then demand the rest later,” he said.

He ended by saying KCR worked for both Hindus and Muslims. “KCR belongs to everyone,” he declared.
