Harish Rao offers tributes on Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas

Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS senior leader Siddipet MLA Harish Rao marked Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas and paid tributes to Dr B.R. Ambedkar, describing him as the visionary who shaped India’s Constitution and guided social reform. He said Ambedkar’s foresight enabled the formation of Telangana through Article 3, which created a constitutional path for new states.

He noted that Ambedkar’s struggle for equality and justice continued to inspire movements across the country. Because of this legacy, he said the nation remembers Babasaheb’s efforts to uplift oppressed communities and build a society free from discrimination.

Harish Rao said K. Chandrashekar Rao ensured Ambedkar’s ideals reached future generations by naming the Telangana Secretariat after him. He added that the installation of a 125-foot statue in Hyderabad honoured Ambedkar’s contribution to the nation. He said that working towards Babasaheb’s ideals remained the most meaningful tribute society could offer.
