Harish Rao hospitalised with viral fever after day-long party activity on Monday

Hyderabad: Senior BRS legislator and former Minister T. Harish Rao was admitted to KIMS Hospital, Begumpet, on Monday evening after he developed a high fever and fatigue. Doctors said his condition is stable and that he is undergoing treatment for viral fever.

Rao had spent the day at Telangana Bhavan, engaged in party coordination meetings and public interaction. He was part of a meeting earlier in the day with BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and party chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao ahead of Rama Rao’s appearance before the ACB in connection with the Formula E case.

He remained at the party headquarters through the day, addressing party workers and overseeing internal developments. After K.T. Rama Rao returned from the ACB office, Rao addressed party supporters gathered at the premises. Soon after the speech, he reportedly developed a fever and showed signs of exhaustion.

He was immediately shifted to KIMS Hospital, where he is under the care of Dr. S. Patil Sudesh from the Department of Internal Medicine. Hospital authorities confirmed it as a case of viral fever-related exhaustion.

K.T. Rama Rao visited the hospital later in the evening to check on Harish Rao’s condition and conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery.
