Hyderabad: Telangana footballer Gugguloth Soumya, who has excelled in international football, received felicitations from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday.
Gugguloth Soumya honoured after the AIFF Best Player Award
Soumya recently won the Best Player Award from the All India Football Federation (AIFF). She met the chief minister at his Jubilee Hills residence, where he personally congratulated her on the achievement.
Revanth Reddy draped a shawl over Soumya and praised her for bringing recognition to Telangana through football. Sports Minister Vakiti Sreeramulu, Telangana State Sports Authority chairman Shivasena Reddy, Telangana Football Association president Dr Mohammad Ali Rafath, the association’s general secretary, and senior officials joined the felicitation.
