HYDERABAD: A granite-laden lorry overturned near Mudigonda on the Khammam-Kodad national highway on Friday, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to eight others. The accident occurred late at night, causing disruption on the highway.
According to initial reports, the lorry lost control and overturned, trapping several individuals under the heavy stone slabs. Local authorities and rescue teams rushed to the scene to assist the injured and clear the debris.
Emergency services transported the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Traffic movement on the highway was temporarily affected but was restored after rescue operations concluded.
