Hyderabad: The Telangana Rising Global Summit began on a high note on Monday with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurating the event at Future City in Kandukur, Ranga Reddy district. As part of the Telangana Rising Global Summit, the 100-acre venue is set to become a hub for innovation and investment. Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, several ministers, and top business leaders attended the launch. Actor Nagarjuna also participated. A robot welcomed the Chief Minister, adding a futuristic touch to the event.
Nobel laureate backs Telangana’s inclusive growth model
At the summit, Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi praised Telangana’s development strategy. He highlighted initiatives such as the loan waiver for 20 lakh farmers, free bus travel for women, and educational reforms. According to him, the government was following the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. He said Telangana Rising Global Summit could help the state become a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Satyarthi also stressed that peace and unity are essential for sustained progress.
Trump Media announces ₹1 lakh crore investment in Telangana
In a major announcement, Trump Media Technologies committed to investing ₹1 lakh crore in Telangana over the next decade. Company director Eric made the declaration at the Telangana Rising Global Summit. He confirmed that the firm will launch key projects at Future City.
This investment announcement comes as the Telangana government considers naming a major road near the US Consulate as “Donald Trump Avenue.”
