Hyderabad: In view of the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday activated a Model Code of Conduct (MCC) control room at its headquarters.
GHMC Commissioner and District Election Officer R.V. Karnan inaugurated the control room. The initiative aims to monitor and ensure strict adherence to election conduct guidelines.

Additional Commissioner for Elections Hemant Keshav Patil, Additional SP Vigilance and MCC Nodal Officer Narasimha Reddy, Media Nodal Officer Dasharatham, and CI Amruth Reddy were among the key officials present during the launch.
Officials emphasised the control room’s central role in ensuring free and fair elections. They directed teams to respond immediately to any violations of the model code. Field-level election staff must be alerted the moment any breach is reported.
