Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R. V. Karnan inspected the mega sanitation drive in the Film Nagar–Kotha Cheruvu area as part of citywide cleanliness efforts.
The visit marked Day 11 of the GHMC Mega Special Sanitation Drive. He carried out the inspection along with Additional Commissioner (Sanitation) C. N. Raghuprasad.
During the visit, the commissioner asked officials to clear old waste from identified spots. He also told them to prevent dumping at the same locations again.
Focus on field checks and clean roads
Karnan instructed teams to work with traffic police to remove abandoned vehicles from roadsides. He said such vehicles caused traffic problems and blocked movement.
He stressed the need to keep roads clean and safe, especially in busy areas. Officials said the visit showed GHMC’s focus on field checks and quick action.
The civic body said the mega sanitation drive would continue across Hyderabad. Regular inspections, officials added, would help maintain cleanliness and public safety.
