GHMC Commissioner inspects Shilpa Layout Phase-2 flyover ahead of inauguration
Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan on Tuesday inspected the Shilpa Layout Phase-2 flyover, which links the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with Kondapur, ahead of its proposed inauguration.
The six-lane structure is expected to ease congestion in the area and improve connectivity between western Hyderabad’s residential and commercial zones.
During the visit, GHMC Commissioner Karnan reviewed the road safety features including lane markings and rumble strips in compliance with Indian Roads Congress (IRC) standards. He also inspected the designated location for the inauguration ceremony.
Officials were instructed to complete the remaining tasks at the earliest, including road surface painting and the Urban Biodiversity (UBD) wing’s plantation work along the flyover’s central median.
