Gaddar Awards to be held on 14 June in Telangana

HYDERABAD: The prestigious Gaddar Awards, presented in recognition of literary, cultural, and artistic contributions in Telangana, will be held on 14 June. This year’s ceremony will be presided over by renowned film producer Dil Raju.

The awards aim to honour individuals who have made significant contributions in the fields of art, literature, public movements, and culture. The Gaddar Awards were instituted in memory of the revolutionary poet and people’s artist Gaddar, who gave powerful voice to the struggles of Telangana’s people.

Organisers of the event stated that this year, the scope of the awards has been expanded to recognise talent from all corners of the state. Selected individuals across various categories will be presented with awards, cash prizes, and honorary shawls.

Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said that the awards in memory of a personality like Gaddar are a commendable initiative to promote social awareness and artistic dedication. He assured that he would extend full support to make the event memorable.

According to the organisers, the ceremony will witness participation from prominent literary and cultural figures of the state, social activists, artists, and a large number of youth. Special programmes featuring music, poetry, and folk arts will also be presented during the event.
