Hyderabad: Four persons from Hyderabad died in a fatal road accident in Nandyal district after their car collided head-on with a private travel bus in the early hours of Friday.
The accident occurred around 3 am on National Highway-40 between Nallagatla and Battalur villages in Allagadda mandal. The car was travelling from Tirupati to Hyderabad when the driver reportedly lost control. The vehicle crossed the divider and crashed into an oncoming private travel bus.

The impact crushed the car completely, killing all four occupants on the spot. Two other persons suffered serious injuries in the accident.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving information and shifted the injured to a government hospital for treatment. The private travel bus was heading from Hyderabad to Puducherry at the time of the accident.
Fortunately, none of the bus passengers sustained injuries. Authorities arranged an alternate bus to send them to their destinations.
Police registered a case and began an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
