HYDERABAD, February 3: Former minister V. Srinivas Goud has criticised the Telangana government over alleged errors in the Backward Classes (BC) caste survey, demanding a re-survey to ensure accuracy. He accused the Congress-led government of rushing the process for electoral gains, leading to a flawed report.
Addressing the media, Srinivas Goud stated that the BC enumeration was full of mistakes, making it unreliable for policy decisions. He warned that the Congress government could face strong opposition from BC communities if the issue is not addressed.
He further alleged that the ruling party prioritised speed over accuracy in preparing the report, questioning its credibility. Goud demanded immediate corrective action, urging the government to conduct a thorough re-survey to ensure fairness in BC representation.
His remarks have added to the ongoing debate on caste enumeration in Telangana, with political leaders voicing differing opinions on its implementation and impact.
