56 students fall ill in suspected food poisoning at BC hostel in Jogulamba Gadwal

Hyderabad: A suspected case of food poisoning in Jogulamba Gadwal left 56 students from a BC hostel ill on Friday night. The incident occurred at Dharmavaram village in Erravalli mandal.

The hostel accommodates 125 students, and 110 were present that evening. After dinner around 9 p.m., several students began vomiting and complained of stomach pain and dizziness. Staff members alerted authorities and quickly arranged ambulances. The affected students were shifted to Gadwal Area Hospital for immediate treatment.

Officials respond to food poisoning in Jogulamba Gadwal

Doctors confirmed that all the students are now recovering under medical supervision. District officials said they had collected food samples and launched an inquiry into the cause of contamination.

Alampur MLA Vijayudu visited the Gadwal Government General Hospital on Saturday morning. He interacted with the students and their parents, assuring them of quality treatment. The MLA urged officials to maintain strict food safety checks to prevent such incidents in the future.
