Hyderabad: The urea shortage in Telangana continued to trouble farmers, forcing them to leave fields and line up outside distribution points. Many said they were waiting day and night at Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) and agro centers.
In Hanwada mandal of Mahabubnagar district, farmers reached the PACS office on Wednesday night and slept there in the hope of receiving urea on Thursday morning. By dawn, large crowds of farmers and women gathered, forming long queues outside the center.

Tension prevailed in Kotakadra-Dharmapur when farmers staged a protest over non-supply of urea. They squatted on the road, forcing police to intervene.
