Election Commission appoints observers for Jubilee Hills by-election

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India has appointed three senior officers to oversee the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. The move aims to ensure free, fair, and peaceful polling.

IAS officer Ranjit Kumar Singh will act as the General Observer. IPS officer Om Prakash Tripathi has been named Police Observer. IRS officer Sanjeev Kumar Lal will monitor election spending as the Expenditure Observer.

Observers to monitor security, spending, and conduct

Officials said the observers will track law and order, candidate expenses, and adherence to the model code of conduct. They will stay in the constituency until polling concludes.

The observers will also respond to complaints and check for any violations. They will supervise how guidelines are followed and ensure accountability from political parties and candidates.

The Commission has asked voters and parties to report any issues related to misconduct, campaign expenses, or security directly to the assigned observers.
