Education is the only power that transforms lives, says Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy

Hyderabad: Labour and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Thursday described education as the only power capable of transforming lives. He called it the most effective tool for the younger generation to achieve success.

Speaking at the launch of a ₹100-crore scholarship initiative at KLH University, the Minister urged students to embrace continuous learning, self-discipline, and respect for parents as foundational values.

Addressing a student gathering during a face-to-face session on “Personality Development and Higher Values,” he encouraged youth to pursue their goals with clarity and determination.

Highlighting the significance of the scholarship programme, Dr. Venkatswamy praised the university’s commitment to student welfare. Moreover, he advised beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity.

Reflecting on his own journey, he said he completed his education at Hyderabad Public School and later pursued medicine. However, he entered politics to serve the people, inspired by his father.

“Politics was not my initial plan,” he said. “But I worked hard to build a reputation like my father’s. Challenges are part of life, and students must not fear them.”

Dr. Venkatswamy also detailed his industrial contributions, stating that Vishakha Industries now operates in 12 states, employing nearly 5,000 people. He reiterated his active role in the Telangana statehood movement.

University officials, faculty members, and a large number of students attended the event.
