KTR questions silence on ED raids at Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s home

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday criticised the continued secrecy surrounding the Enforcement Directorate’s raids on the residence of Congress minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, which took place a year ago.

He alleged that the silence from all quarters—including the ED, the BJP, and the minister himself—was evidence of an “unholy nexus” between the Congress and BJP. Rama Rao also pointed out that during the raids, media reports had claimed that officials brought in two currency-counting machines into the minister’s home.

Despite the passage of one year, there had been no official follow-up action, no case registration, and not even a press release, he said. Rama Rao questioned the motives behind the inaction and stated that such selective enforcement pointed to political misuse of investigative agencies.

“Ponguleti’s silence over ED raids exposed BJP-Congress ties”

He took a sharp dig at Union Ministers Amit Shah and Nirmala Sitharaman, as well as the ED team, sarcastically congratulating them for successfully running a “washing machine” – a term he used to describe the alleged conversion of black money to white.

Rama Rao reiterated his charge via a post on social media platform X, asking if any clearer example of the BJP-Congress alliance could exist.
