Hyderabad: The ECI bans exit polls for the Jubilee Hills bye-election scheduled this month. The restriction applies to all media outlets from 7:00 a.m. on November 6 to 6:30 p.m. on November 11, 2025.
The Election Commission of India said no person or organisation can conduct, publish, or broadcast exit poll results during this period.
ECI bans exit polls under RP Act provisions
Officials warned that violations will attract penal action under Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan urged all stakeholders to follow the ECI’s instructions to ensure a free and fair election.
The Election Commission also reminded media houses and digital platforms to comply strictly with the order.
