NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 struck Delhi-NCR early Monday morning, triggering mild tremors across the region. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 5:36 AM, with its epicenter in New Delhi at a depth of five kilometers.
The tremors were felt in multiple areas, including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad. Many residents rushed out of their homes in fear. However, no reports of casualties or property damage have emerged so far.
The NCS confirmed the earthquake details on social media platform X. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the situation, urging people to remain calm. He assured that authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
