Hyderabad: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Monday after his health condition worsened. However, family members have now confirmed that his condition is stable, and he is responding well to treatment.
Family and industry visit hospital
Soon after the news of his hospitalisation spread, several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda, visited the hospital to check on the veteran actor. Meanwhile, his son Sunny Deol appealed to the media and fans to respect the family’s privacy and avoid speculation.
Hema Malini condemns fake rumours
Actor and MP Hema Malini strongly condemned false reports about Dharmendra’s death. In a post on X, she wrote, “What’s happening is unforgivable. How can responsible channels spread such false news? These rumours are affecting his treatment. Please respect the family’s privacy.”
She added that such baseless claims were deeply insensitive and irresponsible, urging the media to verify information before reporting. Furthermore, she said unnecessary panic only hurts the family and the medical team treating him.

Dharmendra’s treatment continues
Currently, Dharmendra continues to receive treatment at Breach Candy Hospital. Sources said the veteran actor was responding positively to the medication. In addition, his daughter Esha Deol confirmed that her father’s health was improving steadily, while dismissing all fake death rumours.
Later on Tuesday afternoon, Sunny Deol’s team issued an official statement that read, “Sir is recovering well, and the treatment is working. We request everyone to pray for his good health and long life.”

Earlier this year, Dharmendra underwent eye surgery and has been under regular medical observation since. Fans across the country continue to send prayers and good wishes for his speedy recovery.
What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.
