Hyderabad: A confirmed dengue case in Jainagar, part of the Bansilalpet division, prompted Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to conduct emergency vector control measures.
Acting on the alert, a GHMC entomology team on Thursday, led by Deputy Commissioner Dakun Naik, visited the locality, carried out fogging operations, and sprayed anti-larval chemicals to contain mosquito breeding.
Officials urged residents to keep their surroundings clean and avoid storing stagnant water, which acts as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Health Officer Hemalatha, Deputy Executive Engineer Srinivas Reddy, Assistant Engineer, Supervisor Rajender Reddy, and sanitation staff, including Mahmad Sadiq, participated in the operation.
Authorities said continued monitoring will be maintained in the area over the coming days.
