Daughter kills parents with poison injections in Vikarabad district

Hyderabad: In the Vikarabad murder case, police arrested a young woman for allegedly killing her parents by administering poisonous injections at their residence in Yacharam village of Bantwaram mandal.

According to Srinivas Reddy, the victims Dasharath and Lakshmi were initially believed to have died by suicide due to financial stress. However, further investigation revealed that their youngest daughter, Surekha, was responsible for the deaths.

Police said Surekha worked as a nurse at a private hospital in Sangareddy. She was in a relationship opposed by her parents, who later arranged her marriage with another man.

Vikarabad murder case linked to family opposition to relationship

Investigators stated that on Sunday, Surekha administered injections to her parents under the pretext of treating knee pain. The injections allegedly contained poison and were given to each parent separately.

After both died, she reportedly placed their bodies together and later informed her brother Ashok that they had collapsed unconscious. His suspicion prompted a police complaint, which led to a detailed probe.

During questioning, Surekha confessed to the crime, police said. Officers have taken her into custody and registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
