CP Sajjanar lauds bravery, humanity shown during Nampally fire rescue

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar on Monday praised the courage and humanity shown by a youth named Dinesh during a recent fire accident at a furniture shop in Nampally.

In a post on X, Sajjanar said Dinesh, a resident of Afzalgunj, displayed rare bravery during the blaze. He said raging flames filled the shop and victims cried for help. Yet, Dinesh did not step back and joined rescue efforts without hesitation.

The Commissioner noted that many people today stop to record videos during accidents. In contrast, Dinesh risked his own life to save others. Sajjanar said honouring him on Republic Day was a moment of pride.

Sajjanar highlights courage, unity during Nampally fire rescue

Along with Dinesh, the Commissioner congratulated Mohammed Zakir, Kaleem, Raheem and Amar for their role in rescue operations. He also appreciated corporators Surekha Om Prakash and Zafar Khan for showing initiative during the emergency.

Moreover, Sajjanar said the incident reflected Hyderabad’s tradition of communal harmony. People from different backgrounds worked shoulder to shoulder during the rescue. According to him, the effort once again showcased the city’s Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb.

Finally, the Commissioner saluted everyone who stepped forward during the crisis. He said their actions proved that humanity remained alive in Hyderabad when people united in times of distress.
