Hyderabad: Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Wednesday declared that the Congress victory in the Jubilee Hills bypoll was certain and unstoppable. During an interaction with ministers at Gandhi Bhavan, he also received petitions from party workers and citizens.
Later, while speaking to reporters, Sridhar Babu said voters had already chosen Congress in the Jubilee Hills bypoll. Therefore, he asserted, no political force could prevent the party’s win.
Sridhar Babu slams BJP and BRS over voter fraud
The minister accused BJP-led governments of stealing votes and, consequently, insulting democracy. Moreover, he said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had presented strong proof of voter fraud in Karnataka.
In addition, Sridhar Babu criticised BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, saying he acted “like a jackal howling after seeing a tiger.” According to him, BRS had ruled the state before the Assembly elections. Hence, its claim of voter list errors only exposed its own role in “vote theft.”
Congress to approach the Election Commission over BRS fraud
Furthermore, Sridhar Babu alleged that BRS had manipulated the MLC elections by enrolling ineligible students as voters. He said Congress would soon file a formal complaint with the State Election Commission.
He also added that Congress leader Naveen Yadav would remain available to residents of bastis in Jubilee Hills. Finally, Sridhar Babu said BRS had already realised its defeat and was now trying to justify its failure.
