Hyderabad: Senior Congress leaders, including Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, rolled up their sleeves for a Shramdaan drive at the Kinnerasani Tribal Girls Residential School in Palvancha mandal, as part of a wider campaign to promote democratic values and constitutional awareness.
Joining them were MPs Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy (Khammam) and Porika Balram Naik (Mahabubabad), Dornakal MLA and Government Whip Dr Jatoth Ram Chander Naik, and ST Corporation Chairman Dr Bellaiah Naik.
Addressing participants, the leaders said the initiative was aimed at spreading the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B.R. Ambedkar across villages and towns. “Our mission is to preserve and pass on the spirit of democracy and the Constitution from one community to the next,” they said.
With the onset of monsoon expected soon, the leaders advised school staff to ensure that the campus remains clean and hygienic to prevent health risks among students.
Also present were Pinapaka MLA Payam Venkateswarlu, Aswaraopet MLA Jare Adinarayana, and Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkata Rao, along with Congress workers from Kothagudem, tribal Congress trainers, and school staff.
The event saw enthusiastic participation, with leaders and volunteers engaging in cleaning and maintenance work, symbolising their commitment to both public health and democratic outreach.
