Hyderabad: BJP MP Etela Rajender said the Congress had no sincerity or honesty towards Backward Classes (BCs). Speaking to the media on Friday, he stated that the party had embarrassed itself before the public over the BC reservation issue. He added that no one expected the Congress to act with such foolishness and irresponsibility.
Etela Rajender slams Revanth Reddy for misleading people
Rajender accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of deceiving the people of Telangana. He questioned the advice guiding the Congress on such crucial matters. The issue of BC reservations, he said, was purely constitutional and should be treated seriously. Moreover, he wondered why Revanth Reddy had staged a protest in Delhi if he truly possessed political strength.
“Congress leaders should slap their own cheeks and apologize to the people,” he said. Rajender also blamed the state government for confusing voters and diverting attention from real governance failures.
BJP demands immediate local body elections
The BJP MP demanded that the state government conduct local body elections without further delay. He asked whether Congress leaders even knew which party governed at the Centre before making promises to the public. Furthermore, Rajender insisted that all pending bills of former sarpanches must be cleared before polls. He said delaying payments only showed the Congress government’s lack of accountability.
Rajender asserts his leadership in Huzurabad
Referring to the upcoming Huzurabad polls, Rajender said, “I will issue the B-forms myself. I have been a leader here for 25 years. Who else will issue them if not me?” His statement reflected his confidence in local leadership and his command over the constituency. He emphasized that the BJP would continue fighting for BC rights and political transparency in Telangana.
