Congress govt transformed Telangana in 2 years: Ponguleti

Hyderabad: Telangana Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday said the Congress govt transformed Telangana in just two years through sectoral reforms and governance that restored public confidence.

Speaking after inaugurating the revamped website of the Information and Public Relations department at the Secretariat, Reddy said the state faced a deep crisis when the Congress came to power. He credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership for steering Telangana through economic and administrative challenges.

“The people trusted us, and in two years, we have begun transforming that trust into action,” the Minister said.

He noted that despite the short period, the Congress administration had achieved tangible results, particularly through its six guarantees and broader welfare initiatives, some of which were not even part of its poll promises.

Reddy said that reforms in agriculture, education, healthcare, housing, ration card distribution, and employment generation had significantly changed the landscape of the state. He called the ongoing progress a model for the country.

He further said Telangana had become a national leader in both agriculture and industry, attributing this momentum to the “Indiramma government” and its long-term vision plan.

“With Telangana Rising – 2047, we are working to position the state as a major player in India’s future and on the global stage,” Reddy added.
