Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy left for New Delhi on Thursday morning for a two-day official visit, accompanied by ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy (Irrigation and Civil Supplies) and D. Sridhar Babu (IT and Industries).
The delegation, led by Revanth Reddy, is slated to meet former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair at 11 a.m. Blair currently heads the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI), which engages in development programmes globally. Discussions are expected to focus on potential investment and collaborative projects in Telangana.
Later, at noon, the Chief Minister is slated to meet Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil. The Telangana government plans to raise objections over the Godavari–Banakacharla project proposed by Andhra Pradesh. A comprehensive report is expected to be submitted to officials of the Central Water Commission.
The Chief Minister is also expected to discuss the status of pending central funds and the progress of delayed irrigation projects with Union ministry representatives.
The visit is likely to conclude with a meeting with AICC leaders to deliberate on organisational matters, including the filling of party posts and nomination-based appointments, according to Congress sources.
