Hyderabad: BJP Legislature Party leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy on Saturday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of making “empty claims” while farmers in Telangana struggle with massive crop losses caused by heavy rains.
Speaking to reporters at the Assembly media point, Alleti said the Chief Minister showed no basic concern for farmers. “Thousands of acres of crops are gone, lives have been lost, yet the CM spends time on beauty contests and Moosi river reviews,” he said.
Alleti Maheshwar Reddy demands longer Assembly session
The BJP leader asked why the government limited the Assembly to just three days when several urgent issues needed debate. “Is the CM afraid of discussions? Why is he avoiding accountability?” Alleti questioned.
He demanded a four-week session to address crop losses and other public concerns. He alleged that the Chief Minister was dodging responsibility due to lack of courage and commitment.
