Hyderabad: As part of the Praja Palana Praja Vijayotsavalu, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited Husnabad on Wednesday and laid the foundation stones for development works worth ₹262.78 crore. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar welcomed the Chief Minister, who formally launched multiple infrastructure projects aimed at transforming the region.

Key projects launched in Husnabad

The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for the following works:

  • ₹44.12 crore for a new engineering college in Husnabad under Satavahana University
  • ₹45.15 crore for an Advanced Training Center (ATC)
  • ₹20 crore for municipal infrastructure upgrades
  • ₹8.60 crore for a new RTA Unit Office
  • ₹86 crore for a four-lane road between Husnabad Urban and Kothapally (Package–1)
  • ₹58.91 crore for a four-lane road between Husnabad and Akkannapet

Later, the Chief Minister attended a public meeting where Minister Ponnam Prabhakar addressed the gathering and thanked the CM for prioritising Husnabad’s development.

Praises for education and road projects

Minister Prabhakar highlighted the sanctioning of the engineering college, ATC, a 250-bed hospital, and the development of Ellamma Cheruvu. He said these efforts reflect the government’s commitment under Praja Palana.

He also requested the CM to approve a ring road for Husnabad, citing its location between four districts. The Minister noted that the region needs better facilities for dairy farmers and called for targeted incentives due to the area’s large livestock population.

Gowravelly project progress praised

Prabhakar criticised previous governments for merely announcing the Gowravelly project without action. He stated that under the current administration, the works have genuinely progressed. “The Chief Minister is working to ensure Gowravelly waters reach every village in the coming season,” he said.
