Police said they booked Crime No. 47/2026 on charges of cheating, misappropriation of funds, and criminal intimidation. The complainant stated that Ayub Khan lured him into a business partnership in 2024. He invested ₹4.70 lakh based on the assurance. However, the accused allegedly diverted the profits and avoided settling accounts.
Later, the accused reportedly took about six tolas of gold ornaments from the complainant. He claimed he needed them to clear debts. Instead, police said, he mortgaged the ornaments and failed to return them.
