Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and senior leader T. Harish Rao on Saturday released the party’s “Congress dues card.” They accused the ruling Congress of failing to deliver on its promises.
The release took place at Telangana Bhavan. Senior leaders Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Mahmood Ali, Srinivas Goud, Swami Goud, Padma Rao Goud, Madhusudhanachari, Jagadish Reddy, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Laxma Reddy and MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra were present.
BRS Congress dues card highlights unfulfilled schemes
The BRS said the Congress failed to honour assurances even after 22 months in power. Under the ₹2,500 monthly promise to women, each beneficiary lost about ₹55,000. Party leaders argued that older people missed ₹44,000 each under the ₹4,000 pension pledge.. Disabled persons, they said, also lost ₹44,000 each under the ₹6,000 pension scheme.
In addition, the BRS alleged that the Congress ignored its pledge to give one tola of gold for daughters’ marriages under Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Lakshmi. It also said the promise of two lakh jobs for youth and free scooters for female students remained unfulfilled.
Finally, the party demanded that the government release ₹5 lakh per student under the Vidya Bharosa card scheme. Leaders claimed that the benefit was long overdue and must be cleared without delay.
