Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl who wandered off near Gandhi Chowk in Godavarikhani was reunited with her parents on Saturday, thanks to the quick thinking of the 1 Town Blue Colts police.
The little girl had gone missing around noon, sparking worry among locals who flagged down a Blue Colts patrol. The officers immediately swung into action by sending the child’s photo to nearby WhatsApp groups in a bid to track down her family. It didn’t take long — the girl’s parents got the message and reached out, leading to a happy reunion.
Turns out the girl had been with her parents at Lakshmi Nagar on a shopping trip when she accidentally headed toward Gandhi Chowk and got lost.
Officers Tirupati and Naveen, who handled the case, earned a pat on the back from 1 Town CI Indrasena Reddy for their prompt work. The parents, visibly relieved, thanked the police for helping bring their daughter home safely.
