BJP leaders detained during protest at DGP office over cow vigilante shooting

Hyderabad: Tension gripped the Telangana DGP office in Hyderabad after BJP leaders launched a protest against the shooting of cow vigilante Sonu Singh near the Pocharam IT corridor. The leaders demanded immediate and strict action against those responsible for the attack.

Police stopped the BJP leaders when they tried to storm the DGP office at Lakdikapul. Officers took state BJP president Ramachandra Rao and several party leaders into custody after they ignored warnings to disperse.

The protest blocked traffic across Lakdikapul and the Assembly surroundings. Police teams directed vehicles and cleared the congestion. BJP leaders accused the state government of failing to protect cow protection activists and vowed to intensify their agitation.
