Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramachandra Rao on Monday declared that the Congress party is on the verge of political extinction, claiming that people across the country are ready to “bury it politically.” In his remarks, BJP chief Ramachandra Rao emphasized the widespread desire for political change.
Speaking at the BJP state office on the death anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Rao paid tributes to the Iron Man of India and credited him for integrating Hyderabad State into the Indian Union through Operation Polo.
Congress insulted Patel’s legacy and trampled Constitution, says BJP leader
Rao accused the Congress of erasing Patel’s contributions from national memory and undermining constitutional values, especially during the Emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
He alleged that Congress leaders continue to disrespect constitutional institutions, including the Election Commission, and engage in divisive politics based on caste, religion, and region. “We warn the Congress party to stop such political tactics,” Rao said.
He added that the BJP is the only party that truly upholds and implements the Constitution. “The Constitution remains safe only when BJP is in power. Congress, during its rule, insulted and trampled it,” he asserted.
