Hyderabad: BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind on Wednesday called for a central-level inquiry into the internal rift between party leaders Etela Rajender and Bandi Sanjay, while attacking Congress and BRS over factionalism within their ranks.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Arvind said BJP’s former and current state presidents should sit together and resolve differences between Etela and Sanjay. If necessary, he added, the party’s national leadership should step in.
He suggested the BJP central command appoint a nodal inquiry commission to examine the discord.
Drawing comparisons, Arvind questioned the Congress high command’s handling of leaders like Rajgopal Reddy, Konda Murali, and Konda Surekha, and asked what role BRS leaders Kavitha and K.T. Rama Rao were playing in their party amid similar internal unrest.
On Raja Singh, Arvind clarified that the MLA had resigned voluntarily and was not suspended. He described him as an “ideological map” for the party and said he would regain BJP membership instantly if he opted back in.
He called on the party to assign two Assembly constituencies each to Telangana BJP MPs and evaluate them by performance. Those who fail to deliver, he said, should be sidelined.
Arvind emphasised the importance of grassroots workers, urging BJP cadres to focus on leadership-building and prepare for upcoming local body polls. He predicted a BJP victory in the Indur district ZP chairperson election and called the upcoming elections a turning point for party workers.
