HYDERABAD: A heated verbal clash occurred on Wednesday in the Telangana Legislative Assembly between Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and BRS MLA K.T. Rama Rao over corruption-related remarks.
The confrontation began when K.T. Rama Rao alleged during his speech that contractors had recently protested at the Secretariat, accusing the Congress government of demanding commissions. He described this as an unprecedented development in the state’s history.
Reacting strongly to the accusation, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka expressed anger and told KTR to “mind his language”. His response triggered immediate protests from BRS members, who objected to what they called inappropriate language used against their party leader.
BRS legislators demanded an apology from the Deputy CM and staged a protest within the Assembly. They later extended their demonstration to the main gate of the legislature, raising slogans such as “20% commission government”.
The protest led to brief tensions and disruption in the House proceedings before normalcy was restored.
