Hyderabad: Bhatti special prayers were performed by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka at the Sri Mrityunjaya Swamy Temple in Madhira on Sunday, invoking the names and gotras of Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy and State Cabinet ministers.
Bhatti Vikramarka, accompanied by his spouse Nandini, visited the temple on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. The couple offered prayers for the prosperity of the state and the health and longevity of its people. They also sought divine blessings for the effective implementation of the government’s welfare programmes.
During the visit, the Deputy Chief Minister and his wife performed a special archana inside the sanctum. Priests chanted Vedic hymns while invoking the names and gotras of the Chief Minister and Cabinet members. The couple later conducted Rudrabhishekam and other rituals in reverence to the presiding deity.

Temple priests welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister and his wife with Purna Kumbham upon their arrival. They escorted the couple into the sanctum for the rituals. After the ceremonies, priests offered Vedic blessings in the temple hall and presented sacred teertham and prasadam.
The Sri Mrityunjaya Swamy Temple, located on the banks of the Wyra River in Madhira, witnessed the participation of several Congress leaders and a large number of devotees. On the sidelines of the visit, Bhatti Vikramarka reviewed the arrangements made for devotees in view of Maha Shivaratri celebrations.
Officials said the temple observed heavy footfall throughout the day as devotees gathered to mark the festival.
