Bandi Sanjay steps away from politics in Karimnagar, focuses on development

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday announced he would not engage in political activities within the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Speaking at a public event, the BJP MP said he was working in coordination with State Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on non-political developmental efforts in the region.

The duo is working to establish a Navodaya School in the Husnabad Assembly segment, with plans to begin admissions in the upcoming academic year. They are also pursuing the establishment of a Sainik School in the area.

Bandi Sanjay praised Ponnam Prabhakar’s “Steel Bank” initiative to reduce plastic usage in Husnabad and urged elected representatives to undertake similar efforts in public interest.

He announced the distribution of free bicycles to students in government schools under the “Modi Gift” scheme, with “Modi Kits” including bags, bottles, notebooks, pens and pencils for nursery to Class 6 students also in the pipeline.

He pledged to set up water plants in every neighbourhood and improve infrastructure in government schools, enabling students to aim higher.

Marking Kargil Vijay Diwas, Bandi Sanjay said the sacrifices of the martyrs had not gone in vain. He credited Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi for strong leadership in confronting Pakistan-sponsored terror.

He recalled an all-party parliamentary delegation visit to global capitals following the Pahalgam attack, which aimed to expose Pakistan’s involvement internationally.

Siddipet District Collector K Hymavathi, speaking at the same event, said children must be raised without hatred and pressure, and guided with positivity to pursue their aspirations freely.
