Bandi Sanjay comments seek ‘ghar wapsi’, united vote bank

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay made remarks urging people who left Hinduism to return through “ghar wapsi.” He called for Hindus to form a united vote bank. The Bandi Sanjay comments were delivered on Sunday at the Kartika Vana Bhojanalu programme of the Kapu community in Kukatpally.

He said there was a strong desire among Hindus to act as a single vote bank, linking his appeal to the recent Jubilee Hills Assembly bypoll result. He added that those wishing to return to the faith would find the “doors of Hindu Dharma protection” open.

Bandi Sanjay argued that abandoning one’s religion was akin to “cheating the gods.” He urged all castes to work for community welfare. Furthermore, he advocated for the protection of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

He also cited Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s Sanatana Dharma campaign, claiming it had prompted some who had converted to reconsider their decision. The BJP leader praised organisers of the community vanabhojanams and stressed helping the poor people.
