Bandi Sanjay accuses Congress of blocking BJP meetings out of fear of losing votes

Hyderabad: Union Minister and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay accused the Congress government of deliberately denying permission for BJP meetings and roadshows in Hyderabad. He said the Congress feared that allowing the BJP to campaign freely would cost it a crucial section of votes.

Police denied permission for Sanjay’s meeting scheduled at Rahmatnagar on Friday, leading to his sharp reaction. Speaking to reporters, he said, “We made all arrangements for the meeting, but now they say there’s no permission. What kind of governance is this?”

Bandi Sanjay accuses Congress of colluding with BRS

The BJP leader said his party had applied for permission on November 4, but authorities kept delaying the approval. “Why didn’t the police respond for days? What was the real intention behind the delay?” he asked.

He alleged that the Congress and BRS were working together to suppress BJP activities. “They easily grant permission for BRS meetings but create hurdles for ours,” Sanjay said. Moreover, he claimed the Congress leadership was nervous about the BJP’s growing influence in the Jubilee Hills by-election.

According to him, Congress feared losing a key voter segment if the BJP roadshows gained momentum. “The people of Jubilee Hills are watching everything closely,” he warned. “Very soon, voters will give Congress a fitting response.”

BJP intensifies campaign despite hurdles

Sanjay said the BJP would continue its campaign across the city despite the restrictions. He added that the party would not be intimidated by political pressure or police obstacles.

“The Congress and BRS can try to stop us, but they can’t silence our voice,” he said. “We will reach every voter in Hyderabad and expose their double standards.”

BJP workers, meanwhile, held protests against the denial of permission and accused the state government of misusing its powers ahead of the by-election.
