Mahajan studied areas that saw frequent crashes during the past two years. He told officers to mark each danger point as a blackspot and place clear warning boards. He also asked them to build speed breakers on approach roads to slow fast vehicles.
The SP instructed staff to watch road-repair work until every task reached full finish. He directed teams to put radium stickers in night-risk areas so that drivers could see turns and slopes with ease. He said clear signs and steady checks would reduce crashes.
Ichoda CI Raju and SIs Srikanth, Syed Imran and Purushotham joined the field visit. Officers said the new steps would begin at once to reduce accidents across the highway stretch.
