Hyderabad: Maj Gen Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding, Telangana & Andhra Sub Area, delivered the keynote address at the valedictory session of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, held by NMDC on Saturday.
The observance, conducted from October 27 to November 2, carried the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” In his address, Maj Gen Misra praised NMDC for its role in national economic development and commended its focus on integrity and ethical governance. He noted that vigilance is not just the domain of a single department but a collective responsibility shared by all employees.
He drew comparisons between the Armed Forces and public enterprises, urging strict adherence to systems and transparent practices enabled by technology and automation. “Vigilance is the means by which we honour the trust of this great nation,” he said.
Vigilance Awareness Week at NMDC promotes collective responsibility
Throughout the week, NMDC organised awareness programs, interactive sessions, and competitions involving employees, vigilance officers, and students from nearby schools. The final day included prize distribution and a group photograph with all participants.
The event also reinforced the Indian Army’s continued engagement in civil initiatives that support national development and institutional integrity.
