HYDERABAD, February 13: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a major partnership with Microsoft during the inauguration of its new facility in Hyderabad on Thursday. The state government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to establish an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre in the city.
Speaking at the event, CM Reddy described the new facility as a milestone in Hyderabad’s growth as a global technology hub. He highlighted Microsoft’s long-standing association with Hyderabad, noting that Microsoft India recently completed 25 years of operations.
As part of the collaboration, the Telangana government and Microsoft will jointly launch ADVANTA(I)GE TELANGANA, an AI Foundation Academy. The initiative will introduce AI education in 500 government schools and integrate AI-driven solutions in governance and public services.
Additionally, the AI Centre will focus on developing cloud-based AI infrastructure and serve as a knowledge hub. The investment is expected to strengthen Telangana’s startup ecosystem by providing mentorship, AI tools, and global networking opportunities.
CM Reddy expressed confidence that the initiative would empower the youth by creating more job opportunities and enhancing digital skills. He thanked Microsoft’s leadership team for their commitment to Telangana’s technological progress.
