Hyderabad: The Telangana government set up a 50-bed super speciality hospital at the Medaram Jathara 2026 to protect the health of lakhs of devotees attending the mega tribal festival.
Health officials said the government placed the medical system on high alert to ensure quick treatment during emergencies. The hospital stands close to the main congregation area to cut response time. Doctors and specialists are available to handle serious cases on the spot.
The government also strengthened basic healthcare services across the Jathara zone. Officials said the plan focused on easy access, quick response and crowd safety during peak footfall.
50-bed super speciality hospital anchors Medaram Jathara healthcare plan
Along with the main hospital, authorities opened 30 fully equipped medical camps across the Medaram Jathara area. These camps provide first aid, outpatient care and immediate support for common health problems.
Further, the government deployed 5,192 medical and paramedical personnel on round-the-clock duty. The teams include doctors, nurses, AYUSH practitioners, ASHA workers and support staff to ensure continuous care.
Officials said ambulances remain on standby to move patients to higher medical centres when needed. The health department said the entire medical setup will remain active throughout the jathara to ensure the safety and well-being of devotees.
