Hyderabad: Banjara Hills Police have recovered 13 stolen motorcycles and arrested two men allegedly involved in a series of vehicle thefts across the city.
The accused, identified as Nimmathi Srikanth, 32, and E. Naveen, 22, both working as labourers in film shootings, were taken into custody following a tip-off. Srikanth is a resident of Krishna Nagar while Naveen resides in Uppal.
Police said the stolen vehicles had been lifted from several areas. The breakdown includes two cases under Banjara Hills Police Station, three in Begumpet, one each in Jubilee Hills, Gopalapuram, Borabanda, Medchal, and Pet Basheerbagh.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Shaik Kaleem, who is accused of receiving the stolen motorcycles.
Srikanth is a repeat offender. He has prior cases pending trial under Pathukapalli (2020), Shamirpet (2022, 2 cases), Ramgopalpet (2022), and Sultanabad in Karimnagar (2025).
Police credited coordinated efforts with the recovery and detection of multiple thefts. Investigation is ongoing.
