Hyderabad: The Markazi Ruyat-e-Hilal Committee, operating under the Majlis Ulema-e-Deccan, confirmed on Wednesday evening that the crescent moon marking the start of Zil Hajj had been sighted.

As a result, Zil Hajj begins Thursday, May 29, 2025, with Eid ul Azha slated for Saturday, June 7. The announcement followed verified moon-sighting reports and was formally endorsed by local religious scholars.
