YouTuber Anvesh booked for alleged objectionable remarks on Hindu deities

Hyderabad: YouTuber Anvesh, known for his channel ‘Naa Anveshana’, has been booked by Punjagutta police. This occurred due to his allegedly making objectionable remarks against Hindu deities, sparking widespread outrage. In this controversy, YouTuber Anvesh faces significant backlash from various communities.

The case was filed after actress and BJP leader Karate Kalyani lodged a complaint. She accused him of hurting religious sentiments. Based on her complaint, police registered a case under Sections 352, 79, and 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). They also included Section 67 of the IT Act.

Hindu groups demand action; police issue notice

Several Hindu organisations have demanded strict action against Anvesh. They urged authorities to bring him back to India for legal proceedings. Police officials confirmed that notices would be issued to him shortly as part of the investigation.

Anvesh, who commands a sizable online following, is already facing multiple complaints across Telangana for his recent controversial statements.
