Karimnagar: A 24-year-old man from Karimnagar district died by suicide after reportedly being distressed over his girlfriend marrying another man. The incident took place in Lakshmanapalli village under Illandakunta mandal.
According to local police, the deceased, identified as Dara Ellesh, had been in a relationship with a woman named Varalakshmi for the past seven years. However, Varalakshmi recently married someone else, which reportedly caused Ellesh severe emotional distress.
Before ending his life, Ellesh recorded a selfie video explaining his reasons for the act. In the video, he alleged that he had been deceived by the woman, and expressed pain over the sudden end of their long-standing relationship.
Ellesh is said to have jumped in front of a moving train shortly after filming the video. He reportedly asked his parents not to remove his body until the woman involved arrived at the scene. He also requested that her family face legal action and stated that he had saved all call recordings on his phone as evidence.
Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the matter.
